India’s COVID-19 caseload progressed to 85,91,730 with 38,073 corona infections being recorded in a day, while the number of people who have recovered from the disease mounted to 79,59,406 pushing the nationwide recovery rate to 92.64 per cent, according to the Union Health Ministry data renewed on Tuesday.
The coronavirus death toll soared up to 1,27,059 with 448 new deaths, the data renewed at 8 am showed. The COVID-19 case death rate stands at 1.48 per cent. The number of active cases prevailed below 6 lakh for the 12th continuous day.

There are 5,05,265 recent cases of coronavirus infection in the country as on this date which constitutes 5.88 per cent of the total caseload of corona infections in the country, the data stated. India’s COVID-19 summation had crossed the 20 lakh cut on August 7th, 30 lakh on August 23rd and 40 lakh on September 5th.
It went past 50 lakh on September 16th, 60 lakh on September 28th, 70 lakh on October 11th and spanned to 80 lakh on October 29.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a cumulative total of 11,96,15,857 samples have been tested up to November 9th with 10,43,665 samples tested on Monday.
